Longer Table Farm was founded on a love of food, family, and the earth. We believe that good food and the act of sharing a meal has the power to dissolve differences and foster togetherness. It is our mission to be able to provide the healthy, delicious ingredients that inspire community around the kitchen table.
DIY FLOWERS
We offer bulk buckets of our seasonal fresh flowers for couples and event hosts to arrange their own flowers for their event. For those who have the time and knack to create their own arrangements, buying bulk flowers can be a fun and budget-friendly option.
* DIY buckets are only available during our growing season, May-October.
Each DIY (do-it-yourself) bucket includes enough ingredients for approximately 7-9 quart-sized mason jar arrangements, with a proper mix of greenery, cute filler flowers, and showy focal blooms. Every stem is selected from our fields based on what is most beautiful and bountiful at that moment in time. DIY buckets are "grower's choice" within two flexible color palettes: "Romantic," a medley of soft pastels and neutrals, or "Playful," bright, bold, and fun! Though we can not accommodate specific color or flower requests due to the seasonal nature of our work, we are expert at designing cohesive buckets. DIY buckets can be included in a Season's Best order, so you can choose to DIY your centerpieces but opt to have us make you a bridal bouquet, for example.
IS DIY RIGHT FOR YOU?
Making your own floral arrangements is not for everyone! Don't get caught thinking, "I could do that," without considering all that goes into designing flower arrangements for your event. Before you decide to DIY, consider the following:

Are you flexible on color palette and design style? This option does not work for those trying to replicate specific trends. DIY buckets will be available in two flexible color ways: Romantic (soft pastels) or Playful (bold and bright). Flower selections will be "grower's choice", so your vision will need to be flexible and simple. Choose simple vases that are easy to design in.

Will you have enough time? Weddings can be hectic, and it's easy to underestimate how much time things may take. We advise making your arrangements a day or two beforehand.

Will you have enough helping hands? Don't fall prey to taking on too much yourself. Make sure you have several helpers to support you.

Will you have space? Flower arranging is messy! Things will get wet, leaves and cut stems will be on the floor. Make sure you have a workspace that can get dirty, has access to water, and is cool and out of direct sunlight. If you are storing flowers for several hours, be sure to keep them cool (a refrigerator is best, but a wine cellar or air-conditioned room is great) and in an area where they won't be disturbed.
